In fact, 80% of Millennials and Gen Zers say adopting smart home tech is a positive thing

Some of the most popular devices in modern homes are speakers, televisions, and computers. Millennials are now adding more advanced devices such as indoor smartbulbs, automatic window shades, and device hubs which control all the devices in the home from one screen. 

Millennials actually prefer smarthomes, with 86% stating they would pay for a more connected home. 46% of current homeowners report that they would prefer if their homes had smart devices. Many want these devices because they are convenient and cost effective. Many devices are also connected to security systems and can improve overall safety in the home.
